In this case I guess that the vars are not inserted correctly inside the custom themes. This can happen when you do install themes after you installed the plugin or if a theme is heavily modified.

Check for the vars in the default templates and copy them into your custom templates or try to deactivate / activate the plugin another time.

I have tried removing both the themes and the plugins. Reinstall plugin and activate it, then install the theme. Still the same result.


I'm not much of a programmer, do you have any other details on the VARS you mention?
After adjusting the template settings to use default instead of MASTER it works now. However when i post a banner it now posts 3 times instead of once!

That means you do have the vars inserted three times now.

Check your "index" template, it should look like that now:

If you do have multiple instances of {$showad3} delete all but one - if it's missing add it.

Do the same for the other templates, for example header, footer, showthread and postbit.

I understand what you mean but i don't know which file to edit.

I wish i could get rid of where it says 'forums'. right above the forums like its not already obvious. Can that be done?
